This is a maintenance refresh that pairs a uniform paver clean with a joint refill. After clearing debris and opening the joints, we sweep in polymeric sand (or standard jointing sand if preferred) and lightly water-activate it per the manufacturer’s guidance. The goal is a straighter, tidier appearance and improved joint stability. Additional sealer is available.

Why it matters: Over time, weather, sprinklers, and traffic wash sand out of the joints—pavers can start to shift, edges look uneven, erosion occurs, and weeds/mold grow in the joints over time. Regrouting strips the existing sand/grout and restores where it’s missing, which helps the system interlock as intended and reduces joint washout. It also sharpens the overall look of the field and borders, especially on high-visibility areas like driveways and pool decks.

Our Process: We inspect the area and edges, pre-treat where needed, and surface-clean the pavers for an even starting point. Once the surface and joints are dry enough (typically 1 day between steps), sand is swept across the field to fill joints, then worked in and blown off the faces to prevent haze. A light, staged water activation locks polymeric sand in place while avoiding puddling or washout. Typical guidance is to keep the area dry and traffic-free while the sand cures.

What to expect: Standard regrouting addresses open joints after cleaning on accessible areas. It doesn’t include lifting/resetting pavers, correcting base or drainage issues, replacing edge restraints, or sealing (sealing is a separate service). Joint depth affects longevity—shallow or undermined joints may need more frequent touch-ups. Color variation in sand and minor post-settling can occur; we aim for a neat, uniform result while following product cure times and weather limits to protect the finish.
