This is a maintenance wash designed to brighten decks and fences safely. For wood, we use wood-safe detergents, allow a controlled dwell, and rinse at low pressure with a wide fan, working with the grain to avoid furring, etching, or raised fibers (no stripping or sanding included). For vinyl, we apply a mild detergent to break the biofilm and rinse at very low pressure to avoid forcing water behind laps or into vents; any chalky oxidation is cosmetic and may require a separate restoration service. The goal is a cleaner, more even look while preserving the surface—not a stripping, brightening, or refinishing service.
Why it matters: Outdoor wood and fence lines collect moisture and biofilm, which dulls color, creates slippery spots, and keeps boards damp longer after rain. Regular cleaning helps reduce that buildup, supports better traction on walking surfaces, and improves curb appeal. On composites and vinyl, removing residue prevents the “dingy” look that accumulates around shade lines and sprinkler zones.
Our Process: We start with a quick inspection, protect nearby plants and metals, and test a small area to set the right mix and pressure. A mild pre-treat is applied and allowed to dwell, then we rinse with a controlled, fan-pattern pass (working with the grain on wood). Edges, rails, posts, and tight areas are detailed by hand as needed, followed by a fresh-water rinse. Where appropriate, a light post-treat can help slow organic regrowth.
What to Expect: Standard service addresses typical organic staining and surface soils on accessible areas only. Stripping old stain/paint, brightening/neutralizing wood, rust or tannin removal, efflorescence treatment, repairs, and sealing/staining are separate services. Weathered color loss or oxidation may remain visible after cleaning. If you plan to stain or seal, allow the deck to dry thoroughly (often 24–48 hours, weather-dependent).
